Ajax vs Napoli Match Preview

Ajax hosts Napoli in the third matchday of the first group of the UEFA Champions League.

The hosts are coming off a 1-1 home draw against Go Ahead Eagles, a slip-up they don't usually do but perhaps because of the all-important game against Napoli coming up. Undoubtedly, the Dutch are not in the best possible situation since the defeat away from home against Alkmaar preceded it, so with the defeat in Liverpool that preceded it, they became three games without a win.

The visitors, on the other hand, after the numbing start to the year, managed to achieve six consecutive victories, one away against Lazio, at home against Liverpool and away against Milan. In general they look in very good shape and still get the results they want despite the very important absence of striker Victor Osimhen.

Taking the above into account, I expect Ajax to come in aggressively to get the win and catch Napoli in first place. The Italian team have speedy midfielders and have achieved great wins away from home so far which I expect to happen in the Netherlands as well.
