Belgium vs Czech Republic Match Preview

Belgium hosts the Czech Republic for the 5th round of the 5th group of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers, European zone.

It was an easy victory for Belgium on Thursday night against Estonia, prevailing 5-2 after a good performance. They may have found themselves back in the score almost at the beginning of the game but then they increased their speed and with the completion of half an hour of play they had taken the lead in the score with 2-1. In the second half, they left no chances to their opponents and scored 3 more times, while the hosts simply reduced to 5-2 shaping the final result.

After this victory, Belgium reached 10 points and remained at the top of the group, being the undisputed favorite for first place and the direct qualification to the final stage of the tournament.

The Czech Republic also comes from a victory, on Thursday they hosted Belarus and without any particular difficulty, they prevailed with 1-0. They were superior throughout the whole match and created several opportunities, in addition to the goal they scored in the 34th minute, while defensively they were little threatened.

Thus, they reached 7 points after 4 matches played, and are in 2nd place in the group having three points less than their current opponents.

Belgium is the big favorite of the match but on the other hand, the Czech Republic is not expected to be an easy opponent. Both sides, however, have rich talent offensively and score easily. I expect some goals in this one, my final call is Over 2.5 goals to be scored at 1.75 odds.
