Belgium vs Russia

The first match of Euro 2020 for the second group will be played in St. Petersburg, where Belgium will confront Russia.

One of the big favorites for the title is thrown into battle. Belgium is at the top of FIFA rankings and is clearly one of the big names to win the trophy. It has awesome quality in all lines. In the qualifiers they did their best, achieving 10 victories in their group. Martinez's team in the recent friendlies drew 1-1 against Greece while beating Croatia 1-0.

On the other hand, Russia enter the tournament with several ambitions. Finished in second place in the quaification stage and qualified for the finals of the tournament. In the 2020 World Cup qualifiers, they beat Malta 3-1 away from home, Slovenia 2-1 at home, and lost 2-1 to Slovakia.In the friendlies, Stanislav Salamovich Cherchesov's team drew 1-1 against Poland, while beating Bulgaria 1-0, proving they are ready for the Euro.

Although Russia have the advantage as the match takes place in St. Petersburg, Belgium have the quality and are one step above their current opponent, and can start with the right in the tournament.
