Brazil vs Chile Match Preview

One round before the end of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the South American group, Brazil welcomes Chile in Maracana.

Brazil is on fire in the group of South America, they come from an impressive 4-0 victory over Paraguay, in a match that could have delivered more they did not slow down at the end. They are in the first place of the group with 39 points after 15 games.

They are unbeaten for 32 games in qualification games while running a 13-game winning streak at home. Neymar returns to the squad, while Ederson and Rafinha are out due to Covid - 19.

Chile, on the other hand, struggle to qualify for the finals of the tournament. They are motivated by the away victory in the last game in Bolivia with 2-3. They are now in sixth place in the standings with 19 points.

Today's match will be crucial for Chile, but they will they will do their best to qualify in the last match at home against Uruguay, who have  three points more.

Defender Erick Pulgar, who is ill with Covid - 19 and is in quarantine, is out of the squad. Alexis Sánchez, Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas will be on the offensive line for Martín Lasarte's team.

Brazil have shown that they are one level higher than the other teams in the group. I do not expect them to line up relaxed since they want to remain undefeated at ther home. Chile will fight for a positive result to increase their qualifying hopes. I believe that both teams will score n this one.
