Chelsea vs Newcastle Utd Match Preview

They entered the match very strongly and in the first fifteen minutes they had managed to score twice and took a significant winning lead. Then they were in control of the match and although Norwich reduced the score in 69΄, they were not stressed and shortly before the final whistle they scored a third goal.

This was Chelsea's 3rd consecutive victory in the league that keep them firmly in 3rd place in the standings with 53 points and are in control of the battle for the top four spots. But also it wad a victory for psychology as the team has many problems on many levels.

Newcastle continue their impressive route lately, midweek they prevailed 2-1 over Southampton. Despite the fact that they were behind the score in the 25th minute, they reacted immediately equalizing before halftime and then took the lead at the beginning of the second half, which they kept until the end of the match.

So they extended their unbeaten streak for 8th consecutive match and reached 28 points, having 7 more from the danger zone, being in a safe place.

Chelsea seem to be the favorite of the match but it is unknown if they are influenced by what is happening in the last few weeks. Newcastle, for their part, are having an impressive run lately and go to this match without stress hoping for the best outcome. The quality of Chelsea on the one hand and the form of the guests on the other could offer us a spectacular match. My choice is Over 2.5 goals at 1.72 odds.
