Club Brugge KV vs FC Porto Match Preview

Club Brugge hosts Porto for the fifth matchday of the second group of the UEFA Champions League.

The hosts are coming off a 2-2 away draw at Union Saint-Jiloise despite taking a 0-2 lead from the fifteenth minute mark in which they also gained a numerical advantage. Perhaps the Belgians' thoughts have been on the European competition where they are sitting in first place without conceding a goal and having scored seven. Undoubtedly, the Belgians are the surprise of the competition since they have three wins and one draw and are in excellent condition with only one defeat in the last seven games they played.

The visitors, on the other hand, are coming off a 0-1 home defeat to Benfica in a match that fizzled out early on as they were down to ten men from the twenty-seventh minute. In the UEFA Champions League, despite two defeats in the first two matches, they found the courage to continue with two wins over Leverkusen and are firmly in the qualification zone.

Taking into account the above, I expect the two teams to be cautious since the draw will not be damning for both. The Belgians I think have a slight advantage due to home as well so I will bet 5 points on the double chance 1X at odds of 1.70.
