Everton vs Leeds Match Preview

For the 25th round of the English Premier League, Everton welcome Leeds to Goodison Park.

Frank Lampard's debut in the league on the Everton bench was accompanied by a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle's home. In the first part, the game was pretty close with both teams scoring from one goal. In the replay, however, Everton showed for another match their defensive weaknesses and, conceding two goals, left the match empty-handed.

This was Everton's 5th defeat in the last 6 games and now they have moved back to 16th place in the Premier League with 19 points, just plus 2 clear the danger zone.

After an entertaining midweek match, Leeds played a 3-3 draw vs Aston Villa on the road. Despite the fact that they were ahead from the first ten minutes, they conceded 3 quick goals but managed to reduce the score in the injury time of the first half. In the replay, the pace was slower, however, they managed to find the equalizer at 63', with the score not changing until the end of the match.

After this outcome, Leeds reached 23 points and are in 15th place in the Premier League.

Everton continue to underperform, having registered only one victory in the last 15 matches and the margins have started to narrow. Leeds, on the other hand, are starting to create momentum and are always a dangerous team. I expect an interesting match with many goals as both  teams score and concede easily. My choice is Over 2.5 goals offered at 1.70 odds.
