Everton vs Norwich Match Preview

For the 6th round of the English Premier League, Everton welcomes Norwich at Goodison Park.

Everton comes from a bad result, last week they were defeated 3-0 in Birmingham to Aston Villa. After a mediocre first part, in the second part they collapsed in the period 66΄-75΄, and, conceding 3 goals, suffered their first defeat of the season. So they remained at 10 points after 5 games and are in 6th place in the Premier League.

Midweek for the League Cup they were defeated in the penalty shootout  (2-2 in regular time) to QPR and were eliminated from the competition.

Norwich hosted Watford last week aiming for their first points after their return to the Premier League but failed. They fought it, however they lost 3-1 paying for another match their many defensive mistakes. They were left behind in the score at 17΄, equalized at 35΄ but in the second half, they saw the ball end up in their nets two more times (63΄ and 80΄) and inevitably lost the match. This was Norwich's 5th defeat in an equal number of league matches and thus remained in last place in the standings without a point.

Midweek, having many changes in their lineup, Norwich was defeated for the League Cup by Liverpool 3-0 and was eliminated from the competition.

This is a match between two sides that are coming from bad results. Everton excels in quality and at their home they are always strong, Norwich, on the other hand, is forced to fight all matches, either at home or away from it, regardless of their opponent, if they want to have any chance of securing the league. They both need this three-pointer, and I expect a fight with many chances and goals. My choice in this match is the Over 2.5 goals alternative, offered at decent 1.87 odds.
