Giannina vs PAOK Match Preview

PAS Giannina welcome PAOK at Zosimades Stadium for the 14th round of the Greek Super League.

PAS Giannina come from another victory in the league, last Saturday they prevailed 3-2 over Volos after a very spectacular match. The team of Epirus were twice behind in the score but were extremely effective in the final effort and equalized twice, while shortly before the final whistle they scored the winner converting a penalty kick.

This was the fourth victory for PAS Giannina in the last five matches that keeps them in 3rd place in the standings with 22 points and they are deservedly considered as the pleasant surprise of ths season's Greek Super League.

PAOK returned to winning ways after suffering 3 consecutive defeats. Last Sunday they prevailed 2-1 over Lamia in Toumpa. Despite their victory, however, PAOK had problems for another match with their performance. They were left behind in the score early (7΄) but a quick equalizer (18΄) brought the required calmness in the field for the hosts and with another goal in the second half they got all three points.

After this outcome PAOK reached 22 points and remained in 4th place, tied with their current opponent PAS Giannina, but far from the top spot of the standings as the first-placed Olympiacos has 13 points more.

On the one hand we have PAS Giannina who impress with their performance, and on the other hand PAOK with unsteady performance for a long time and have been out of contention of the title quite early.
