Leeds vs Chelsea Match Preview

Leeds welcomes Chelsea at Elland Road for the English Premier League, round 3.

Leeds come from a 2-2 home draw against Southampton in the 2nd round of the Premier League. A result that does not satisfy them as at the beginning of the second half they had a two-goal lead. However, they relaxed and got punished, as their opponent scored twice in the final half-hour to reach a draw.

Even so, their start this season is considered satisfactory, having already got their first three-pointer in their opening game against Wolves.

Chelsea deserved the victory in the derby of the previous round against Tottenham, but a goal conceded in the dying seconds of the match shaped the final 2-2. In the first half, they were deservedly leading being better than their opponents, however, in the replay they conceded an early goal. They took the lead again but they did not last until the final whistle. So they missed the chance to have two in a raw as they had beaten Everton away from home in the 1st matchday.

Chelsea excels in quality and bench depth and is deservedly the favorite of the match. However, Leeds has started the league positively and can make it difficult for their big rival. I expected to see a very interesting match with many goal attempts and it is value betting on a high score. My pick is Over 2.5 goals at 1.67 odds.
