Liverpool vs Manchester United Match Preview

Liverpool hosts Manchester United on matchday twenty-six, in this traditional Premier League derby.

The home team beat 2-0 Wolves in their recent midweek game, making it four consecutive Premier League winning games keeping a clean sheet. After a difficult January, Liverpool seems to be recovering by getting the results, however, without impressing. With the exception of the game against Newcastle, where they were with a man less on the pitch for a long period of time, the rest of the games have been much easier registering three wins and two draws in their last six.

The visitors, on the other hand, in their most recent midweek match prevailed 3-1 over West Ham taking the qualification to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, although they were back in the score until the seventy-seventh minute. They are perhaps the most in-form team in Europe after recently eliminating Barcelona in the UEFA Europa League and winning the domestic League Cup by beating 2-0 Newcastle. In their last four Premier League games, Manchester United has three wins and one draw as they try to stay close to leaders Arsenal and keep alive any chance they have of winning the title.

In conclusion, I expect a game in which both teams will be chasing the victory but I think the odds underestimate United. I will stake 3 units on the away win draw no bet at 2.10 odds.
