Manchester United welcomes Leeds at Old Trafford for the opening round of the 2021-22 Premier League.

Manchester United last year showed at some point that they could compete with City in the battle for the title, but finally limited themselves to 2nd place and won comfortably their participation in the UEFA Champions League group stage. So they stayed away from titles for another season as they also failed in the English Cup.
