Nantes vs Lens Match Preview

Nantes welcomes Lens in the 8th round of the French league.

The home side is coming off a 3-0 defeat in Azerbaijan to Qarabag for the Europa League which followed two league 3-goal defeats to Lorient and Paris Saint-Germain. In the last six league matches, they conceded at least once playing at their home, as well as in their European match against Olympiakos, something that shows that they are in negative momentum.

On the other hand, Lens is coming off a well-deserved 1-0 home win over Troyes which kept them in third place in the table. They remain unbeaten after seven games played and still have a chance to win against a tired Nantes who will be asked to play a possession game.

In conclusion, I expect a game in which Lens will take advantage of the empty spaces the home team will leave due to their fatigue. Lens is excellent on the counterattack and has the players to get another win but I'll prefer to stake 4 units on the away win dnb at 1.68 odds. A possible draw would not disappoint either team.
