OFI Crete vs Panetolikos Match Preview

For the 19th game of the Greek Super League, OFI welcomes Panetolikos to Theodoros Vardinogiannis of Heraklion.

OFI come from a bad result as last week were defeated in Toumba by PAOK with 3-0. A score that is unfair to them as they stood very well but everything was judged in a strange opportunity in the 60΄. They scored first, but the referee, with the intervention of VAR, canceled the goal and gave a penalty to PAOK for the hand of OFI defender in the area a few seconds ago and instead of being ahead were behind the score. They were disappointed and conceded two more goals to form the final result.

Thus, OFI remained at 26 points, however, they remained in the 6th position of the Super League and in the positions that lead to the European play offs.

Panaitolikos were impressive last week as they come from two victories in the domestic competitions! Initially, prevailed over AEK for the championship in OAKA with 2-1, although they were back in the score at the halftime break. In the second half, after initially withstanding the pressure of the hosts, they managed to score twice in the period 78΄ - 84΄ and get the three points!

With this victory, the team of Agrinio reached 18 points and are in 14th place in the Super League.

A few days later, they prevailed for in the first leg for cup quarterfinals over Olympiacos in Agrinio with 2-1, taking advantage of the many changes of their opponent. They were again behind the score from 14 ΄ but with a goal in 23 ΄ and in 60 they managed to win. The second leg will follow away at Olympiacos.

OFI fought well last week but in the end could not avoid defeat. At home they are traditionally strong, however, they lack the victory in the last 3 matches they had at home. Panaitolikos, on the other hand, come from big victories during the week and go to the confrontation with the psychology at its height. I think both teams will play offensively, BTTS at 2.05 is my choice.
