Panetolikos vs Volos NFC Match Preview

Panetolikos welcomes Volos for the 25th round of the Greek Super League.

A great victory for Panetolikos last week, they prevailed over Panathinaikos in Agrinio with 1-0. Giannis Anastasiou' team deserved to win as they might not be the ones that had the most final attempts but they had a solid appearance and with an amazing goal with a direct free kick in the second half they bagged all 3 points.

This was the second consecutive league victory for Panetolikos and after this outcome, they reached 28 points sitting in 9th place in the standings.

Volos resisted well at their home match against league leaders Olympiakos but were finally defeated with 1-0. The team of Magnesia had a passive role for most of the match and conceded at the 81st minute when the visitors found the back of the net scoring the only goal of the match.

After this defeat, Volos remained at 28 points and lost all mathematical hope of entering the top-six of the standings, 2 rounds before the end of the regular season.

I do not expect a real fight here in a match between two sides that have not realistic hope for a playoff spot. Both tried to play in the whole league attractive and aggressive football.
