Platense vs Patronato Match Preview

Platense and Patronato Parana compete at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López, for the 14th round in the Argentenian Liga Profesional.

Platense ignores victory for four consecutive games, but in the last two they showed a pretty good face taking a point at home vs Argentinos Juniors 0-0, and away at La Plata vs Estudiantes 1-1. Two results that leave promises for the next games of the team.

They played quite well, had passion and consistency in their game, but did not manage to go all the way even though they came so close to winning. injured T. Palacios and J. Colorado are out of action. For the next round, they travel to Santa Fe to play against Union.

Victory for Patronato is an unknown word as they have been ignoring the three-pointer since August 15, when they beat Central Cordoba 1-0 at home. As expected after all these unsuccessful results Patronato sits quite low in the standings. I expect nothing to change in the team at the moment. In the cup competition, they fought a lot against Boca Juniors but were eliminated on penalties. Suspended L. Geminiani is out. They host Racing Club next week.

I expect a derby between two sides that sit low at the table in the Argentinian league. I believe that Platense is a little bit less bad than Patronato and also has the home advantage. Platense to win is my final call in this one.
