Slovan Bratislava vs Olympiakos Piraeus Match Preview

This is the 2nd leg for the UEFA Europa League play-offs between Slovan Bratislava and Olympiakos.

Slovan could not look competitive in the first match in Piraeus and inevitably lost to Olympiakos 3-0. They could have be defeated with an even bigger margin as Olympiakos except for the goals had a lot of other chances as well. At the same time they did not threaten offensively at any point of the match.

Last Sunday, Slovan, with many changes in their squad, prevailed 1-0 at home over Sered for the Slovakian league, registering their 4th victory in an equal number of matches.

It was an easy night for Olympiakos in the first match, since with their three-goal margin they essentially secured their participation in the UEFA Europa League group stage. They made a very good appearance and seemed determined to get a victory that would send them to the second game without stress. They opened the score at 37th minute and in the second half, they had an aggressive monologue scoring two more goals at 52΄ and 67΄ to shape the final score.

Olympiakos showed in the first match that they are a superior team than Slovan and prevailed easily. I believe that in the second match they have again the upper hand for the victory based in their experience and superiority. My choice is another victory of Olympiakos at 1.98 odds.
