Torino vs Empoli Match Preview

For the 15th round of the Italian Serie A, Torino welcomes Empoli at Olimpico Grande Torino.

Torino, despite their good performance last Sunday night away at Roma, could not avoid a 1-0 defeat. It was a quite undeserved result as they were the team that was in control of the match with many chances to score, unsuccessfully though, unlike the hosts who scored in 32 ΄ the only goal of the meeting.

This was the 4th consecutive away defeat for Torino and with a total record of 5 wins, 2 draws and 7 losses they are in 13th place in the standings with 17 points.

Empoli hosted Fiorentina in the Tuscany derby in the previous round and was the big winner with 2-1. The visitors were better for most of the match and in addition to the goal in 57΄ they had several chances for other goals, but Empoli with two goals in 87΄ and 89΄ made an incredible overturn.

This was Empoli's 6th victory in the league bringing them to 11th place in Serie A with 19 points.

On one hand, is the strong at home Torino and on the other hand the excellent away from home Empoli. The match will not be as easy for the hosts as the odds indicate.
