Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Match Preview

As part of the English Boxing Day, Tottenham welcomes Crystal Palace.

The spurs are in very good condition, running a series of 5 games without defeat. They come from a home draw against Liverpool in a match that stood very well against one of the best teams in the world.

At the moment they are in 7th place but having 3 matches less than the top 4 sides they can even hope for a place in the Champions League.

Crystal Palace is the definition of a mediocre team as they stand in the middle of the table with an almost perfectly balanced record (4-8-5 and 24-24 goals). It will be very difficult for them to relegate and it will be just as difficult for them to claim a ticket to the European competitions.

Away from home, they have managed to win only once in 8 games. The paradox is that they achieved this victory away at the mighty, first placed, Manchester City.

Tottenham plays well in the last matches and can get the victory against a mediocre team that will bring them even closer to the 4th spot .The previous matches are overwhelmingly in favor of the Spurs who have registered 5 consecutive victories over Crystal Palace at home.

So I will pick the home win at decent 1.74 odds, as the hosts are in excellent form and are clearly more motivated than the guests.
