Valencia vs Sevilla Match Preview

Valencia host Sevilla at the Mestalla for matchday 29 of the Spanish La Liga.

Valencia did not manage to leave Almeria with a positive result the previous matchday, they were justly defeated 2-1. In the first half performed well and missed chances to score but were unable to do so. In the replay, however, they came in sluggishly and conceded two quick goals in the first quarter, they reduced almost immediately, but even though they looked for an equaliser, they didn't succeed and unfortunately didn't get anything from the match.

This was the third consecutive match for Valencia to stay away from the three points and the end of the match found them in 18th place with 27 points, inside the relegation zone.

Sevilla come from a draw, last week they were tied 2-2 at home against Celta. A result that left them disappointed as even though they played from the first twenty minutes with one less player, they took a two-goal lead with goals in the 43' and 81'. However, they conceded two goals in the last few minutes and were inevitably reduced to one point.

Even so, Sevilla remained unbeaten for the second match in a row and after 28 matches they are in 13th place with 32 points.
For UEFA Europa League quarter-final first-leg Sevilla were held to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford by Manchester United on Thursday night to take a narrow qualification lead. It will be followed by the rematch next week at their home.

I expect an interesting matchup between two teams that in other years fought for the first places in the standings but this year are fighting for survival. Valencia have a small advantage due to the home ground and are in greater need of victory, but Sevilla have the quality to make it difficult for them. I think we will see a beautiful spectacle from both sides and my choice is BTTS at odds of 1.90.
