Vitesse vs Anderlecht Match Preview

This is the 2nd leg for the UEFA Conference League playoffs between Vitesse and Anderlecht.

Vitesse drew 3-3 in the first match in Brussels and now everything is open for the team that will qualify for the group stage of the competition. It was an exciting match with many fluctuations in the score with the Dutch team being behind the score at halftime with 2-1 In the second half they took the lead with 3-2 but in 90΄ they conceded the equalizer for the final 3-3.

Last Sunday, Vitesse hosted Willem for the 2nd match of the Dutch league, having many changes in their lineup, and after a bad performance lost 3-0.

The 3-3 draw left Anderlecht a bittersweet taste in the first match as in 72΄ they were back in the score 3-2, and in the 90th minute found the equalizer. However, in the added time they missed a penalty for the winner! Even if they did not win, they can still hope to qualify as even a narrow victory with one goal margin is enough for them.

Anderlecht did not play in the Belgian league last weekend in order to prepare as best they could for tonight's rematch.

The result of the first match leaves open the case for qualification. Vitesse has a small lead playing at home, however, Anderlecht is more experienced. I expect an open match, similar to last week's with many changes and goals. My choice is Over 2.5 goals at 1.67 odds.
