A bright new start for Stuttgart

Stuttgart's performance was quite improved in the last games of the regular season of Bundesliga. Their new coach Nico Willig had definitely an important impact in this transformation. The 38 years old coach managed to improve the team's defensive line and the team kept a clean shet in the 3 out of 4 games with their new coach on the bench. That was an unexpected situation for the former coach with whom Stuttgart had been conceding 2 or more goals in each game. In their last game of the regular season, the young coach had the chance to give some rest to many of his starters, so as to be 100% ready for these two crucial play-out games.

On the other hand, Union Berlin lost a huge chance for a direct promotion in Bundesliga after their 2-2 draw with the non interested for points Bochum in the last game of the regular season. After this oytcome they didn't take advantage of Paderborn's loss to outpoint them. So I expect a disappointment in the team, since the direct promotion was lost in goal-difference.

Playout in Germany have a 10 years history and teams from Bundesliga won 8 times on agregate. I expect pretty much the same this year so, I will opt for Stuttgart's win in this first leg.
