A crucial test for AEK before the Cup games

AEK secured the third place and the European ticket in Europa League. They drew with Lamia and they seem to be quite relaxed in the last rounds of Greek Super League, however, I expect them to do their best tonight. Their only goal they have is to maintain their pace for the upcoming Cup games. Additionally, this is their last game of the season in front of their fans. Also, the fact that the relations of the two teams are pretty bad will give them an additional motive to win. M. Livaja and T. Bakasetas are suspended, while D. Chygrynskiy isn't 100% fit yet. The good news is that the long-time injured H. Lopes is back in contention.

On the other hand, Larisa had a quite decent performance lately. They even managed to get a crucial point from the first-placed PAOK, that will give them the chance to avoid straight relegation and fight for their place in Super League through the play-out ganes. However, in this game, they have to do their best, they need another a positive result for sure. Their only absent will be the defender A. Gojkovic due to his injury.

In conclusion, I believe that despite Larisa's huge motive and the fact that even a point can solve their problems, they will barely manage to get a positive result out of it. AEK's performance isn't good in their most recent games, but they are definitely the favourites in front of their fans. Home win is my call, although is the odds are quite low, considering the guests' motive.
