A European battle for the quarter finals

Team effort and hard work brought Sweden to knock out games, which was not on the plans before the start of the tournament at least for me.. I expected Sweden to win by playing smartly and focus on defense, but their win against Mexico didn't come that way. In fact they had an easy and fast win (3-0), that personally impressed me. If Scandinavians weren't so unlucky in the game against Germany who beat them in the last minute of injury time, they could have reached to this point without any defeat. Seb Larsson is injured while G.Svensson or O.Hiljemark are claiming the position of Hull's experienced midfielder.

I have expressed myself again for Switzerland. They are a physical team who fight until the last minute with Shaqiri and G.Xhaka being their most quality players. Whenever they were back in score, they made the right moves to balance the game and in this way they won Serbia. The 50% of their defense won't play in this important game, F.Schar and S.Lichtsteiner are suspended after getting two yellow cards and that's a problem for V.Petkovic. Djorou claims for a position in the first eleven.

We can say  that both teams were lucky in the final stage of the group, as Sweden avoided Brazil, while Switzerland could have played against Germany, if they haven't been defeated from S.Korea. Now they have their gold chance to qualify to quarter finals. Both teams have a similar way of playing but I think that the absences in the Swiss defense give a small lead to Sweden. Win for Sweden at asian H(0) (draw no bet).
