A. Klagenfurt vs Rapid Vienna Match Preview

Austria Klagenfurt is ranked at 11th place with 0 points after starting the new season with a 3-1 loss on the road against LASK. It was a poor performance as their rivals were better than them in every aspect of the game having more ball possession, total shots and shots on target.

In the last season which was their first in the Bundesliga they did good as they finished 6th but now they have lost two of their best players from the last season as both Gemicibasi and Andersson left. Together they were responsible for 14 goals and 9 assists. And this was 1/3 of the total amount of goals they scored last season. In my opinion these players have not been replaced in the right way and we saw the lack of quality in the opening duel.

Rapid Vienna, on the other hand, is ranked at 5th place with 3 points after starting the new season in the best way winning 1-0 against Ried. It was quite a good game for them and they could have definitely scored more than a goal considering they had 17 goals attempts and 8 shots on goal. But I think being this duel between the two games they played in the UEFA Conference League it influenced a bit their performance.They managed to get a ticket for the semi finals of the UEL qualifiers after beating a solid team like Lechia Gdansk on the road 1-2.

During the preseason friendlies, it seemed like Rapid Vienna was going to have a good season and judging by these first performances I feel more confident for them.

In conclusion, I think Rapid Vienna can manage to win this game or get at least a draw out of it. They have a better team than their rivals and considering the fact that they managed to keep all their key players from the last season I guess they can only get better with experience. Austria Klagenfurt played four games against them last season and they failed to win a single duel.
