A qualification step for the Croatians

Dinamo Zagreb started a successful streak this season. After six official games in both domestic and European competitions, they have registered only wins. It all began with the 1-0 win over Rijeka at Croatia Super Cup final game, continuing their amazing winning performances, while they've conceded only a goal so far. Dinamo target on the Champions League group stage, two years after their last participation. Last season they reached the last 16 of the Europa League competition, having beaten teams such as Fenerbahce, Spartak Trnava, Victoria Plzen, and Benfica.

Ferencvaros started their European journey from the first qualification round of Champions League. They eliminated Ludogorets and Valletta to reach this point. Despite that both their opponents were quite weak, the Hungarian team proved to have some defensive weaknesses, actually, they conceded goals in all four matches. Without any improvement, their weak defense may cause them many troubles vs much stronger Dinamo Zagreb. Ferencvaros haven't participated in the Champions League group stage since 1995.

Dinamo Zagreb are superior in quality and experience to Ferencvaros and so they are the deserved favorites. They are quite strong in front of their fans and they will definitely try to take advantage of their opponent's defensive weaknesses to make the qualification step for the second leg that will take place in Budapest. In my point of view, Dinamo Zagreb can win this one with more than one goal difference. Home team to cover AH -1 is my call.
