AC Milan – Inter Match Preview

AC Milan hosts Inter in this 'derby della Madonnina', but this time in the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

Milan will be the home team in this first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals against their city rivals, Inter. This is an Italian derby for the UEFA Champions League and after a long time, actually, after 13 years one team from Italy will be in the final game of the competition. Milan qualified in the semifinals after eliminating Tottenham and Napoli. They impressed in both of those ties and they are looking like a good competitor this season for the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Inter is in the semifinals after prevailing over Porto and Benfica. They looked good in both of those ties and Inzaghi showed once again that he is a good coach in the knockout stages. Inter had an easier schedule but they are a tough team to beat in this kind of games.

I expect a high-intensity game. It is probably the most important game that these teams have played in recent years and I don't think we will see an attacking style of football. There is a second match and both teams will be cautious here in this first leg.
