AEK vs Olympiakos Match Preview

AEK faces Olympiakos for the 2nd round of the Greek Super League playoffs.

AEK suffered a 3-1 defeat to PAOK at the opening game of the playoffs, in a match were both sides played well and created many goal-scoring chances. They had 9 shots on target (5-4) and 17 (10-7) final attempts in total, something that we don't see very often in the Greek Super League matches.

They currently sit at 4th spot of the standings, and AEK will seek all three points here against the league leaders, Olympiakos, in order to keep their hopes alive for a European ticket.

Olympiakos, on the other hand, remains at the top of the standings, waiting to be crowned champions. Only with a miracle they could lose this title, as they have a huge difference from the rest of the playoffs candidates. In the first round of the playoffs they won 1-0 over Aris at home, playing with a player less since the first half after Lala got red-carded. Olympiakos plays under no pressure in these last few rounds and I think they will definitely seek victory once again here.

Over 2.5 goals to be scored is my call for this one, offered at decent odds. Both sides will play very offensively and I think we will see many goals here. In the last year's playoffs, both matches of these two sides ended with more than over 2.5 goals, and it is very likely to see that again.
