Alaves vs Barcelona Match Preview

We have a soccer match between Alaves and Barcelona for the 22nd round of La Liga. This game is played at Estadio Mendizorrotza as Alaves are the hosts. 

Alaves are into the relegation zone and they have won just four league games this season, losing 12 games. They are out of form as they are winless in the last five games played for La Liga. They suffered their biggest defeat this season in their last game played which was against Real Betis where they lost by four goals to nil.

Alaves will be without Navarro in this game as he is suffering from a knee injury. Apart from him, they do not have any other injury issues, so that's a good sign for them. 

Barcelona are in seventh position in the table and they know they are not in the title race this season but their aim would be a top-4 finish to secure a Champions League spot. They remain unbeaten in the last five league games played.

Barcelona will be without Eric Garcia, Umtiti, and Sergio Roberto as all these three players are injured. Ansu Fati is doubtful. Pedri, De Jong, and Busquets would probably be playing in the midfield and this would be a danger sign for Alaves as all of them are very good players. 

In the last ten head-to-head meetings between these sides, Alaves haven't beaten Barcelona. I expect Barcelona to start strong and lead at the break.
