Aldosivi vs Lanus Match Preview

Aldosivi face Lanus for the 17th round of the Argentina Superliga at the José María Minella Stadium.

Aldosivi are having a very questionable season so far, wherein most performances they've shown a team without consistency and many gaps in their roster. At the end of the 16th round, they found themselves at the bottom of the table. Before the holiday break, they won 2-0 over Colon. Now, they have to try their best on every game remaining, in order to get as many points as possible to go up in the relegation table. If the teams remain as it is, it's going to be really hard for them to stay in the top division of the Argentinian football. Their new signings are Pablo Becker, Rodrigo Contreras, and the 24-year-old Mario López. All of them are expected to give an extra boost in their difficult task.

In the last match of 2019, Lanus managed to get a great victory over Racing Klub by 1-0, a result that gave the team some extra motivation. Lanus performed really well on the pitch and got important points, being pretty solid in most games. They are deservedly placed second, in the standings.

Their main target is to reach a top-four spot in the Argentinian Superliga and make a great journey in Copa Libertadores, although, from what we've seen so far, they have realistic chances even to win the title this season. The new signings of the team are Fernando Belluschi, Guillermo Burdisso, and Nicolás Morgantini.

Aldosivi have to change things up and start getting some points, in order to stay at the top league. Lanus, on the other hand, showed so far that they are a really capable team. I expect to see a game with many goals tonight. Over 2,5 goals is my call.
