Amazing Atalanta

Atalanta registered a 3-3 draw in Artemio Franchi Stadium, now they welcome Fiorentina in the second leg and their only goal is to qualify for the Copa Italia final. In the first leg played two months ago, they could have won as their superiority gave them a double lead (1-3). However, the 3-3 draw was the final score, an outcome that gives them the upper hand, but not yet the qualification. A few days later, they welcomed Fiorentina in a game for the Serie A and showed their superiority through their 3-1 win. Atalanta are on their glory days, last Sunday they registered a huge win over Napoli on the road (1-2) and reached the fourth place of the Italian League. Despite their difficult schedule, they can still dream their qualification in the next season's Champions League group stage. In any case, that win proves how successful their performances are lately.

On the other hand, Fiorentina haven't celebrated a win in their last 10 games. Their new coach is now Vincenzo Montella and they have improved their performances by the time he arrived. However, tonight they have to attack and they will probably leave many empty spaces in the pitch. They will play only for the win, but that will make their defensive line quite vulnerable.

Based on the recent performance of these teams there is a favorite tonight and that's no one else but home team Atalanta. My call is Atalanta to win, despite the improved image of  'Viola'.
