Andorra vs Albania Match Preview

Andorra welcomes Albania at Estadio Nacional for the first round in group 9 of the World Cup 2022 Qualifiers.

Things are gonna get tough for Andorra once again, as they have to face very strong opponents in their group, like England and Poland. However, I think they will try their best and fight till the end.

Their most recent victory was back in 2018, registering 8 defeats and 3 draws since then in 11 games played. In the Nations League, they finished at the last spot of their group with just 2 draws in 6 games. The roster of the team is apart from inexperienced players and lacks of quality. In the following round, they will go up against Poland on the road.

Albania, on the other hand, aims to do a good start in the group but considering their squad, I don't see them going any further. They have to do a miracle in order to finish in the top two spots leaving behind Poland or England, two of the favorites in this group, but Hungary as well, which are also a very strong opponent. In the Nations League, they finished first in their group against Belarus, Lithuania, and Kazakstan.

Games like this one should be won very easily by Edoardo Reja's team in order to make something out of these qualifiers. One of the new calls in their roster is the young defender Mario Mitaj, who competes in AEK Athens. On Sunday, they will face England at Qemal Stafa Stadium.

I think Albania has the upper hand to win here, considering the quality of the two sides. I expect them to take all three points without any struggle. Over 2.5 goals to be scored is my call for this one offered at decent 2.02 odds.
