APOEL vs Omonia Match Preview

APOEL faces Omonia for the semi-finals of the Cypriot cup.

The hosts aim to reach as far as possible in the competition, as they had a bad season in the league, finishing 8th in the table, in the play-out zone. 

Omonia, on the other hand, was crowned as champions in the last season after the COVID -19 interruption of the league, and this year they continued from that point, being even stronger. They are the big favorites for the title once again this season, having a significant margin from the other contenders. In the European competitions, they made some decent performances, their most prestigious were those against PAOK, they played a draw in Greece followed by a win in Cyprus for the second leg.

The quality difference between the two sides is huge. APOEL is a big club but still, they don't have a good season at all. The most recent match between the two sides was just 4 days ago and Omonia prevailed easily by 1-0. In the first leg, Omonia also won by 3-0, some months ago.

For today's match, there is no home advantage, something that makes things tougher for APOEL to face such a strong opponent. Considering the offered odds, I think that the away win DNB has the value here.
