Argentina vs Paraguay Match Preview

Argentina faces Paraguay for the third round in the first group of Copa America 2021 at the Estádio Nacional de Brasília.

Argentina reached their first victory in the tournament, prevailing Uruguay 1-0 in the last match. The quick goal just in the 13th minute of the match relieved any stress from Messi and his teammates. They had possesion of the ball in the game and quite a few chances to secure the victory earlier. Now with four points in the group they are sitted first together with Chile in four points. No changes are expected from team coach Lionel Scaloni.

Paraguay in their opening game won comfortably 3-1 over Bolivia making a decent start. They had a break in the second round giving them enough time to properly prepare for today's game against a very good team. They know very well that if they manage to get a point or more from Argentina, they immediately become the favorites even for the first place of the group. However, their task will not be easy at all against "albiseleste".

Argentina registered a victory of psychology and team spirit in the last match. They definitely want to keep up their pace. They have tremendous quality and experience. Paraguay, although an ambitious team, I do not think they can put difficulties to Lionel Messi and his teammates. The home side to win is my choice here.
