Arsenal Sarandi vs Estudiantes L.P. Match Preview

For the 3rd round of the second Group of the Argentinian Copa de la Liga, Arsenal Sarandi faces Estudiantes L.P. at Julio Humberto Grondona, behind closed doors.

Arsenal Sarandi has a terrible start in the league, registering 3 defeats so far. In the opening match against San Lorenzo at home, they suffered a 2-1 defeat, while two more defeats followed, against Banfield by 2-0 at home and against Aldosivi by 3-0 on the road. In the game against Aldosivi, they created some goal-scoring chances but they failed to find the back of the net, and inevitably, this led to another defeat.

Things are getting even more difficult for Sergio Rondina after the recent negative results of his team, and now he has to change things around in the following rounds, in order to show the much needed improvement. The manager expects more from his attackers Lucas Albertengo and Jhonatan Candia who remain scoreless so far in the league.

Estudiantes La Plata, on the other hand, started the league with a big 2-1 win over strong River Plate, while they also prevailed 0-2 against Godoy Cruz in the second round. In their most recent game, they played a bore draw with Racing Club. The team seems very competitive this year, having performed well against strong opponents so far.

The team has improved a lot with Ricardo Zielinsky on their bench, comparing to last season. However, the visitors face a lot of missings today, with Fernando Tobio, Lucas Rodriguez, and Federico Gonzalez being unavailable due to injuries. In the following round, they face Colon Santa FE.

Arsenal Sarandi seeks their first victory in the league for this season, while Estudiantes LP comes from some big wins and will try to get another positive result, but as I mentioned before, three of their key players will miss tonight's game.
