Arsenal Sarandi vs Racing Club Match Preview

Arsenal Sarandi face Racing Club for the 6th and last round of Copa Diego Maradona at the Estadio Julio Humberto Grondona.

In the previous round, Arsenal Sarandi suffered a heavy home defeat against Atl. Tucuman. They manage to take the lead at the 89th minute of the game from the penalty spot by Lucas Necul, but in the 5 minutes of the added time, they conceded two goals!

After this result, they are sitting at 3rd place with a total of 4 points and now the win is a one-way selection against the weak Racing Club. Sergio Rondina's starting eleven will probably be the same as well as in the match against Tucuman. No significant missings for Arsenal Sarandi today, and I expect a very offensive approach by them.

Earlier this week, Racing Club managed to qualify in the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores after a big win in the penalty shootout against the title holders Flamengo (1-1).  This qualification was a big boost both for the players and the club. However, in the domestic league Racing Club had some disappointing performances and failed to reach the top 2 of the group standings.

In the previous round, they prevailed 1-0 at home over Union de Santa FE, playing under heavy rotation. I expect the same approach here by the manager Sebastian Beccacece, giving some playtime to his younger players since hopes are lost for qualification.

Tonight's much seems very one-sided affair for Arsenal Sarandi. The hosts will seek the three valuable points against the much rotated Racing Club. On the other hand, the visitors will play rather relaxed vs Arsenal Sarandi and may cause some trouble on their defense. Over 2.5 goals to be scored is my call in this one.
