Arsenal vs Burnley Match Preview

In this English Premier League game Arsenal host Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have performed very well in the league this season compared to past seasons. Arteta started the season poorly and was so close to being sacked but he turned things around. Arsenal are in good form in the league as they have won four out of the last five games played. 

Arsenal will be without Aubameyang as manager Arteta still has not forgiven him for his mistake. Pepe is still with Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations. Chambers and Leno are doubtful for this game as both are injured. 

Burnley have performed very badly this season and is at the rock bottom of the table. They are winless in their last eight games played, losing all their last three games in a row. Burnley's relegation looks very likely this season and Sean Dyche's job also looks threatened.

Burnley will be without Cornet as he is also with Ivory Coast playing in the Africa Cup of Nations. Ashley Barnes is injured so would miss out. Some of the players who are doubtful are Gudmunsson, Collins, McNeil and Pieters.

The last head-to-head meeting between these sides ended in Arsenal winning. They won that game by a single goal to nil. Arsenal do start games strongly this season and I expect them to start this game strongly too and lead at the break.
