Arsenal vs Liverpool Match Preview

After their Premier League title, Liverpool will go head to head with FA Cup holders Arsenal, for the Community Shield trophy, in the beginning of the 2020-21 season in England.

Arsenal prevailed 2-1 over today's opponents in their last Premier League game, about one and a half month ago. However, it should be considered that Liverpool, back then, did not have any motivation, as they had already secured the title. The problem for the Gunners is their weak defense, having in the last season with 48 goals conceded after 36 games played. On the other hand, their attack is really strong, with Aubameyang, Lacazette, and Pepe in front, they can trouble any defense.

On the other hand, Liverpool was by far the best team in the previous season which ended just a month ago. They won the title with 18 points difference from the second-place Manchester City, while the difference from the opponent they are facing tonight, Arsenal, was 43 points! The Community Shield trophy is missing from Klopp's collection since last year Liverpool was defeated in the penalty shootout against Manchester City (Full time 1-1), so I expect that he will line up his best eleven tonight. The only missings for Liverpool are Henderson, Matip, and Origi.

Liverpool are deservedly the big favorites in this final, but since it is the first game of the season and we haven't seen these two sides performing yet, I will go with both teams to score here. These sides fancy attacking football and let's not forget their amazing goal fest in their most recent cup game (5-5 final score). BTTS: Yes is my call in this one.
