Arsenal vs West Ham Match Preview

Arsenal welcomes West Ham for the 2nd round of the English Premier League.

After a great performance in the first round of the championship, Arsenal prevailed easily 3-0 over Fulham.  Arsenal showed their superiority since the beginning of the game, opening the score at the 10th minute. Continuing at the same pace, Arsenal scored two more goals in the second half, securing their first three points. Actually, Arsenal did a great start in the new season's Premier League, not only because they won their opening game but with their amazing performance too.

On the other hand, West Ham's appearance was disappointing as they welcomed Newcastle and suffered a defeat by 2-0. In the first half, they had several chances to take the lead but they didn't find the net, while in the second half their defense collapsed and conceived twice, at the 56th and 87th minute, leaving the pitch empty-handed. 

On Tuesday night, West Ham faced Charlton for the League Cup, and despite the heavy rotation from their manager, they easily prevailed with 3-0 and qualified for the next round of the tournament.

The performance of these two sides in the first round was quite different. Arsenal got an easy victory by playing nice football, while West Ham had a bad performance and suffered a deserved defeat showing that this season is expected to be quite difficult for them. I expect a fast-paced game with many goal scoring chances, so I will go with over 2,5 goals to be scored, offered at 1.65 odds with Betshop.
