Atletico Madrid hosts Bayern Munich for the 5th round of the UEFA Champions League group stage at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

After 2 consecutive draws against Lokomotiv, Atletico Madrid desperately needs a win in this one to qualify in the next round of the competition. However, they may even manage to qualify with a draw here, depending of course on the results of the other fixture, as a couple of hours earlier Lokomotiv faces Salzburg.

The host's performances were below average in the Champions League so far and I don't see Atletico as the favorites of this match, despite the juicy offered odds for them. 

On the other hand, Bayern Munich continues to perform well in the Champions League and remains undefeated. With 4 wins out of 4 rounds so far, they have already secured their qualification in the next stage and they will definitely finish at1st place of the group without any stress. this is not an important match for them, but the motivation still exists. They will try to extend their undefeated streak playing in a difficult home, and also it could be an asset for them to knock out Atletico Madrid early from the competition.
