Atletico Madrid is going to host Real Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano team Spanish La Liga derby of this gameweek.

Atletico Madrid is playing at home in this big derby against their city rivals Real Madrid in the Madrilleno derby. Atletico Madrid had a bad season because they are not going to win any trophy. In La Liga, they are currently in 4th place but they risk losing it from Real Betis. That would be a disaster for Atletico but I believe they will keep the fourth place in the end. They have some injuries for this match, for example, Joao Felix. 

Real Madrid are the champions of Spain. Last week they won against Espanyol and secured the La Liga title for this season. After that, they did one of the most amazing comebacks ever against Manchester City and got through the Champions League semifinals to the final. Nobody expected this Real Madrid team to be that successful this season but this is the reality they were the underdog in this semifinal but they showed that they can win every match.

Atletico Madrid are favorites here because they have something to fight for in La Liga but at the same time, Real Madrid would like to continue their momentum and good form. Obviously, the visitors are expected to rotate some players, but still, I expect a strong squad from Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid has not been successful against Real Madrid in recent history. Real Madrid didn't lose in the last 10 consecutive games against Atletico Madrid, friendly games are excluded.
