Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Match Preview

Barcelona welcomes Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou for the 35th round of the Spanish La Liga. 

In the previous round, Barcelona made a great comeback in the game against Valencia prevailing 3-2 on the road. Valencia opened the scoreline at the 50th minute but Barca managed to turn things around and deservedly got all three points. These three points kept them in the 2nd spot fighting for the league title. Currently they ranked 2nd, alongside Real Madrid, with a total of 74 points, 2 points behind the first placed Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, comes from a 1-0 win over Elche in the previous round. Their performance was nothing special but managed to take another three valuable points. Luck was on their side, as the visitors missed a penalty in the dying minutes of the game. After this result, Atletico remains first in the standings with a total of 76 points. 

Today's an exciting derby between two strong sides, fighting for the title in La Liga. Barcelona will seek all three points while Atletico Madrid could take a good advantage even with a draw here. The hosts are in better shape lately but keep struggling back on the defense and this could let Atletico to score at least once.
