Basel vs Young Boys Match Preview

In tonight's game, Basel will go head to head with Young Boys in the Swiss Cup final. In case of a draw, extra time and penalty shootout will follow.

Basel wants to finish a very mediocre season for them winning this Cup. In the league, they finished in the 3rd placed and playing in the European competitions they did not manage to make anything special. 

In the semifinals of the Cup, they faced no problems against Vintertur, crushing their opponents with 6-1 winning easily  the ticket to the final. 

Young Boys became the champions for the 3rd consecutive year in Switzerland and now they have the opportunity to win the Cup after 33 years and celebrate the second double in their history.

In the semi-final, Young Boys had pretty much the same performance as Basel, prevailing 3-1 over Sion, except that, all the goals were scored in the second half.

Both sides have a lot of missings, but Basel also faces significant problems in the club, so the champions are have clearly better opportunities and motivation to win this trophy. Young Boys to win is my call in this one.
