Belgium and Japan are in different level

In the latest years Belgium have proved to be one of the biggest teams in the world. However they haven't certified this rise by any distiction in a top tournament. They count 22 official and friendly games where they haven't been defeated except from Wales at Euro 2016 finals. Belgium's squad are consisted of world-wide top players and maybe this is the time for them to make the excess as a team. They didn't have any difficulty in the group stage and they qualified with three wins. In the last game against England they won 1-0 despite the fact that team's coach proceeded to extensive rotation so as to help the players who are considered basics. In this way he also showed that he has a depth on his bench.

On the other hand Japan, who had an impressive start at group's games with the 2-1 win against Colombia, didn't perform that well afterwards and they drew with Senegal. In their last game in the group they just needed a draw to secure their qualification but they eventually were defeated 1-0 against the indifferent Poland. They owe their participation in knock out to Colombia's win at the other game and to the fact that they had less yellow cards than Senegal from which they had the advantage in fairplay.

The two teams have a great distance between them so Japan can't look in the eyes their strong opponent. Belgium's win would be my choice.
