Benevento comes from a 2-0 win on the road over Udinese in the previous round at home. They managed to open the scoreline early in the game and secured the three-point by doubling their lead in the last quarter of the match.

This was their 2nd consecutive win, and now, they are ranked 10th in the table with 18 points after 14 rounds, being 8 points away from the relegation zone.

On the other hand, Milan comes from an impressive 3-2 win against Lazio in their last match for 2020. They were already two goals ahead in the first half, but Lazio managed to equalize early in the second half. However, they didn't quit, scoring the winner in the dying minutes.

Milan continues their great run in the league, remaining first-placed with a total of 34 points, one point ahead of Inter, and the title seems to be closer than ever for them.
