Benfica vs Braga Match Preview

Benfica will try to return to winning ways after their 3-2 away defeat to Porto in the previous round. This result makes things more interesting at the top of the table, since the difference separating the leaders Benfica from the second-placed Porto dropped to 4 points.

In their previous h2h encounters Benfica have the upper hand since they have registered 17 victories in the last 20 games. Last weekend's defeat of B. Lage's team ended their streak of 16 undefeated rounds in the Primeira Liga.

Braga, on the other hand, are fighting to secure their participation in next season's European competitions. In the previous round they faced Gil Vicente, having an easy task on paper. They entered the field really aggressive and managed to score two quick goals, however, they stopped creating for the rest of the match. They got punished conceding twice, showing lack of stability for one more time this season. 

Benfica is currently in the 1st place of the table, and Braga in the 4th place. However, the difference between these two teams is at 20 points and clearly shows the quality difference between them. I believe that Benfica are able to win this match, as they usually do against Braga, taking all three points that will bring them closer to the title.
