Bodo/Glimt vs Molde Match Preview

Bodo/Glimt is ranked at 1st place with 20 points and comes after three wins a draw and a loss over the last five matches. It seems that once again they want to confirm themselves as Champions of Norway after totally dominating in the last season. But this year the race is a bit closer at least by what we have seen so far, considering that they lost three of their best players and goalscorers in the last season.

Still, they have the second-best offensive side in the league with 21 goals scored over 9 games, averaging at least two goals per game and managing to find the back of the net in four of the last five duels. Not just this but at home, they have done even better with 16 goals in 5 matches and are still unbeaten collecting four wins and a draw. It has been more than a year since they last lost a home game.

Molde, on the other hand, is ranked at the second spot with the same amount of points 20, but their goal difference is slightly worse. They come after three wins a draw and a loss too and have scored 23 goals so far averaging more than two goals per game but their weak side seems to be the defense as they have conceded 11 goals and 6 of them came while playing away from home. In the last season, they finished 2nd but with a 20-point difference from their rivals, so they really weren't title contenders.

The problem for them in this game is that they will play with a 19-year-old goalkeeper who has played in the last three games since their first goalkeeper got injured. In all three games, Petersen failed to keep a clean sheet. however, despite Molde won all their rivals they were coming from way low in the table. Conceding this, their mediocre defense against a solid team like Bodo/Glimt especially on the road could prove to be lethal.

In conclusion, I think Bodo/Glimt can win this match or get at least a draw. It is true they are not the dominating team they were last season but as they lost in attack it seems they are defending better now. Molde has done pretty well until this game but I think the lack of experience of their keeper can be a real problem now.
