Estudiantes didn't manage to get any points in their opening game of the League when they were defeated 1-0 from Godoy Cruz in Mendoza. Although they had the superiority and one player more than their opponent for at least 70', their target was wide of the mark in the last effort. Team's coach Benitez wants two top players to boost the team with quality and experience. Midfielder Brana won't play due to injury.

Boca had a very good start in the League by winning 1-0 Talleres in Bombonera. Christian Pavon was the scorer that brought the win to his team. Carlos Tevez lost a penalty to get a wider win. They also travelled to Spain to play a friendy game with Barcelona where they were defeated 3-0. Scelloto used both the substitutes and the core players, but the difference in capacity of the teams was more than obvious. Their new signings are Andrada, the goalkeeper from Lanus and the experienced centre Mauro Zarate from Velez Sarsfield.
