Brighton vs Chelsea Match Preview

Brighton face Chelsea in the last game for the first round of the English Premier League, on Monday 14 of September.

Brighton faced no struggle last season, securing their presence in the Premier League quite comfortable, finishing in the 15th place with 41 points. Their goal this season is similar to last year's, based mostly on the similar roster they have, plus the few signings they did in the transfer window. 

Chelsea's run was very successful in the previous season as they finished 4th in the league, securing a place in the group stage of the Champions League, despite the fact that they had a rather young roster. At the same time, they reached the final of the FA Cup where they have suffered a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal.

Despite the fact that an upset is not out of the question in the first round of any league, I think Chelsea will not leave any point at Brighton. The hosts will play defensively, hoping for a draw or even a huge victory, but Frank Lampard's sife is far superior in quality and I expect them to win.
