Brisbane Roar vs Newcastle Jets Match Preview

Brisbane Roar hosts Newcastle Jets for the next round of the Australian A-League at the empty Robina Stadium due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Brisbane Roar struggled a lot, but managed to get all three points against Central Coast Mariners winning by 1-0. This was their second consecutive victory in the A-League, having won over Syndey Wanderers in the previous round.

These two results allowed them to climb a few spots in the standings, getting closer to the playoff zone. They have totaled 32 points, staying five points away from the playoff zone. No missings are reported for the hosts in today's match and so they will seek for all three points.

On the other hand, Newcastle Jets after the arrival of the new coach started to perform well and getting positive results. Karl Robinson is now the new coach of Newcastle Jets bringing optimism to the team.

They remain undefeated for six rounds, while in the last two they won at home 2-1 over Perth Glory and 0-3 over Adelaide United on the road. They are counting a lot on their offensive line, on the 34-year-old Roy O'donovan as well as on the 27-year-old Dimitris Petratos who continues to perform well.
